Intellectual Property Terms

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms cover the intellectual property of HooTang Clan (“HooTang”, “we”, “us”). By holding a HooTang collectible or using HooTang IP, you agree to these Terms.

1Ownership

All HooTang artwork, characters, designs, traits, graphics, logos and branding (“HooTang IP”) are owned by or licensed to us. This includes the HooTang owl character, its base template and the artwork from which HooTang collectibles are created.

2Collectibles

Owning a HooTang collectible means owning its blockchain token. It does not transfer any copyright, trademark or other rights in HooTang IP. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

3Holder Licence

While you hold a HooTang collectible, we grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use its artwork for display, social media, profile pictures, creative projects and commercial use generating up to US$100,000 gross revenue per collectible per year. Anything beyond this needs our written permission.

The licence passes with the collectible and ends for you when you transfer it or breach these Terms.

You may not use the HooTang name or logos as your own brand, register them as trademarks, mint the artwork as other tokens, imply our endorsement, or use it in unlawful or hateful content.

4Community Creations

Anyone may create and share non-commercial memes, fan art, remixes, videos, parody and commentary featuring HooTang, provided they are not presented as official or used to build a competing collection. You allow us to reshare them with credit.

5Protecting HooTang IP

Except as permitted above, you may not use HooTang IP without our written permission, including reproducing the base character as an independent asset or collection. We may request removal of infringing content.
